Stringed Instrument Services is a full service repair facility and custom shop located in the Los Angeles suburb of Arcadia, CA. Our 2000 square foot facility is fully equipped to service all of your repair needs. We offer guitar repair, maintenance, customization, warranty service and professional amplifier repair. Whether it's acoustic or electric, tube or solid state......we can fix it! Our highly trained staff are some of the best technicians in the business. We also carry a wide variety of replacement parts, pickups and tubes that are readily available to complete your repair or restoration. Owner Jerry Bizon has been repairing and building guitars for nearly 30 years. Jerry trained under luthier Jon Hill of Hill Guitars, building custom guitars from the ground up. After moving to Los Angeles, he spent years on the road as a highly sought after guitar tech for numerous famous artists. After further honing his skills as chief product technician at MusicMan, Jerry opened Stringed Instrument Services in 2001. He is also the current artist technician for Fender, Gretsch, EVH, Charvel and Jackson Guitars, working with many of the world's most famous guitarists. Jerry also is the owner and builder of Luxxtone Guitars, a high end boutique custom guitar brand. With all that experience, you can be sure your instrument will be treated with that same level of professional service and attention!

GUITAR REPAIR PRICE ESTIMATES
S.I.S. offers expert repair service of tube and solid state amplifiers. Our dedicated amp techs have the expertise in everything from vintage tube amplifiers to the latest solid state amps. We offer everything from repairs, re-tubing and general maintenance to complete rebuilds and modifications.
AMP SHOP RATE: $95.00 per hour
Time is billed at ¼ hour increments after the the first hour.
MINIMUM BENCH FEE: $75.00
Inspection, troubleshoot and estimate amplifier repair. The bench fee applies towards the final repair cost, it is not an additional charge.
ESTIMATES:
Minor repairs of up to 1.5 hours are done without estimates. If the cost of the repair is estimated to be more than 1.5 hours plus parts, we'll call to get your approval prior to beginning the work.
TURNAROUND TIME:
Most amplifier repairs average approximately 2 - 3 weeks upon receipt of product. Availability of specific parts can greatly affect repair times, We’ll let you know if this may be an issue.
WARRANTY:
All amplifier repairs have a 90-day warranty on all parts and labor. Warranty covers only the original customer complaint and work done by S.I.S. Unrelated problems to the original customer complaint and original repair will not be covered.
AUTHORIZED FACTORY WARRANTY SERVICE:
We offer authorized factory warranty service for the following amplifier brands: MARSHALL - FENDER - VOX - EVH - PEAVEY - GALLIEN KRUEGER
* Please note that most repairs typically require 1 hour and rarely exceed 2 hrs labor. Only actual repair bench time is charged. All jobs are burned in and tested before final play testing, which is not counted as billable time.
